Herz tanzt

I served as Director of Photography on a fantasy short film that is currently in post-production. The project explores themes of transformation, loss, and emotional liminality, unfolding within a visually distinct world situated between the physical and the mythical.

The visual concept was developed in close collaboration with the director, production design, and costume departments. The cinematography emphasizes atmosphere, natural landscapes, and corporeal presence, using light, texture, and movement as central narrative elements. Rather than illustrating the story directly, the imagery creates an experiential space in which emotional states and symbolic motifs can emerge.

The film works with a reduced dialogue structure and a strong focus on visual storytelling, allowing images, rhythm, and sound to carry meaning. Further information and screenings will be announced soon.
